Our 2300 mile cross country flight
Almost home, flying over the Missouri in South Dakota.
We had a wonderful time and had fun visiting people we haven't seen in ages. We also got plenty of flying experience!

Bud, Charlott, and Linda at the hotel.

Only back east would the dogs have regimented play time!!(I don't think my dogs could read the sign!

Kelsey and Ken's wedding was held in the rose garden.(Cale, this photo's for you!)

Jim and Barb Wakefield did the quick one day visit!

Leaving Saginaw early Sunday morning and finally comfortable enough flying to take photos!!

Only brave enough to fly by Lake Michigan-not over it!

Chicago, and that's as close as I want to fly by it!

Leaving the east behind.

We made it as far as Hampton-NOT The Hamptons, but Hampton, Iowa. Believe me, there is a big difference! As you can see, the visiblility was marginal.

I felt obligated to put in the only civil war memorial in Iowa (it was closed so this is all we saw)-besides there wasn't much else to see except cornfields and fog.

This was the most exciting place in town-how sad is that! We were waiting for the ceiling to rise, so we could sneek out of town.

Next stop, Souix Falls,SD! At least we made it out of Iowa!

Finally a hole in the clouds! Right over the airport, and that was definately Cliff's luck, not mine!

It was wonderful being above the clouds for a change, and headed west.

Finally close enough to home to get clear of clouds. It gave me a new appreciation of the desert!

My photo of devil's tower in South Dakota. OK, so use your imagination, it's there!

I'm finally comfortable enough to look like the confident pilot-too bad we are almost home!.

Hmmm, the rivers just keep getting smaller as we get home. The Cheyenne and Belle Fourche in SD.

Pryor gap, home is just over the hill.

Then we got into turbulence... a sure sign that Bridger is just over the hill...yep, we're home!

My favorite photo of the trip... too bad I can't take credit for it! We had a great time and only wished we would have had more time to visit relatives in Canada(and I was a braver pilot to go through custums etc, to go there!). Note no photo of the wedding couple....I am hoping Shirley will remedy that! I did get a video of Kelsey and Ken, with Kelsey trying to get that DARN ring on Ken's finger!
